The town of Kifri is located in an area between central Iraq and the Kurdish-administered regions of Iraq. Due to unclear responsibilities between the two regions, many public institutions, schools, and infrastructure projects rely on external support. For this reason, the Kifri Support Organization for Development (NGO) is working on a volunteer basis to promote the town’s development.

The Sirwan primary school (337 boys and girls) and the Kurdistan school for girls (216 girls) are governmental schools in Kifri, Iraq. They use the same school buildings in two different day shifts. There is a need to extend and renovate the entire school, but it is particularly necessary to renovate the sanitary facilities, which are in a poor condition due to the heavy use.

In cooperation with the architectural office Suly Sky from Sulaimanyah and the Kifri Support Organization for Development we want to renovate the sanitary facilities for those two schools.

We are collecting donations for:

– Renovation of sanitary facilities and the roof
– Ensuring hygiene and sanitary standards
– A new 10.000 liter watertank
