„From broken walls to bright futures.“

The city of Kifri is located between central Iraq and the Kurdish administered areas of Iraq. Due to unclear responsibilities, many institutions such as schools, public institutions and the infrastructure require external support. Therefore, the Kifri Support Organization for Development (NGO) is voluntarily committed to the development of the city.

The Sirwan primary school (337 boys and girls) and the Kurdistan school for girls (216 girls) are governmental schools in Kifri, Iraq. They use the same school buildings in two different day shifts. There is a need to extend and renovate the entire school, but it is particularly necessary to renovate the sanitary facilities, which are in a poor condition due to the heavy use.

In cooperation with the architectural office Suly Sky from Sulaimanyah and the Kifri Support Organization for Development we want to renovate the sanitary facilities for those two schools.

We are collecting donations for:

– Renovation of sanitary facilities with durable materials
– Ensuring hygiene and sanitary standards
– Rainwater harvesting
– Estimated cost: 6.000,- €
